These are super easy & oh so good.
Ingredients: |
1 pkg club crackers (you do not use the whole box)

2 sticks butter

1 c. brown sugar

1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate chips

Slivered/ sliced almonds, if desired

Directions: |
Place a single layer of club crackers in bottom of a cookie sheet (with sides!). You can line the sheet with foil for easier clean-up.


In saucepan, heat butter and sugar to a boil for 3 minutes. Pour over crackers. Bake at 400 degrees for 7 minutes.


Sprinkle chocolate chips over saltines as soon as pan comes out of the oven. Allow to stand for a few moments and then spread chocolate evenly with spatula over the pan. Sprinkle on nuts if using. Let cool and harden.


Break into pieces (like peanut brittle).
