5 to 7 ripe peaches, washed and sliced (removing peel is optional)

Sugar and cinnamon, to taste

1 box yellow cake mix

1 stick butter or margarine, melted

Cinnamon and nutmeg, to taste

Directions: |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9- by 13-inch baking pan with non-stick spray. Wash and slice peaches; place in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle peaches with sugar and cinnamon, to taste, and stir until all peaches are well coated. Pour spiced peaches into prepared baking pan. Sprinkle cake mix powder evenly over top of peaches. Drizzle melted butter or margarine over cake mix powder. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg, to taste, over all. Bake for 45 minutes, or until top is lightly browned and peaches are bubbling. Serve warm or cold with whipped topping or vanilla ice cream.
